Warm, bold & bright paint colors for your interior.

We all love the way light looks in the fall, everything around us has a luminous, warm glow. When the sun shines through a red or yellow leaf it’s breathtaking and can never be captured in a photo- it’s a fleeting moment in time.

Translating that warmth to paint colors can be SO hard, using highly saturated oranges, reds and yellows can feel uncomfortable as wall paint color after a while. Have you had that happen before? I have! [I had a very peach bedroom in my first home]. Over the years I have learned to be less literal when I fall in love with a color that I see in nature- although it’s still tempting to put it right on the wall and match it exactly!

In my opinion, color is a language, and we need to translate it correctly. What we are seeking is color that feels like we do in nature not color that we see in nature. We would never be able to translate that magic of mother nature into one simple color made of synthetic pigments.

After years of choosing colors for interiors, here are some of my favorite interior colors that can really warm up a space and set a backdrop for all of your beautiful things!

Pro-tip: stay away from bright modern whites if you want a natural interior palette. This type of natural palette is sometimes call Japandi- which is a mix of Scandinavian minimalism and Japanese modern color influences
